Damon and razors don't mix

Note to self: make sure any and all sharp objects that my cause harm to little girls hair, including but not limited to razors, are out of reach from Damon!

Last night the kids were in the bath. They were playing and having a good time while I was right outside the door in the hallway. They were being kinda noisy, so I shut the door most of the way because Justin was asleep! I went in to start washing them and there was a crazy amount of Alliyah's hair everywhere! I asked Alliyah what it was and I some how thought that Damon had pulled it all out! I couldn't understand why she would let him do that to her, but then she picked up my razor and said he did it with this! OMG! I said, he shaved your head?! Luckily, the damage isn't that bad. The razor isn't that sharp, so it mostly "cut" her hair instead of shaving it. There is a little patch of hair that is now about an inch long. And judging by the amount of hair that was in the tub he must have randomly "cut" other pieces, but you can't tell! Yikes! I guess it could have been worse ... like the time Kailee let her friend cut her hair! Kailee ended up having to get a mushroom cut, but if anyone could pull that do off it was Kailee!

Parks & Picnics

The weather has been freakishly awesome for January! It's been in the low 70's for over a week now. We've been taking total advantage and going to the park to have picnics ... nothing beats PBJ's and chips! Everytime we go Justin gets a little more adventourous, but mostly he sits and enjoys the picnic part the whooole time we're there, lOl! Alliyah feels like such a big girl since she gets to ride her scooter there. And, she no longer needs help on the swing! Even so, it's still more fun to have Mommy and Daddy push ya way up high in the sky! Damon loves the swings too! He's now brave enough to go down the "big" slide all by himself! It's been great to be outside! No pictures though because I need to go get batteries, grrr!

Random.ness

Lets see ... Damon is finally potty trained [Woo-who], he actually has been for the past few weeks! He was totally ready to do it, and we should've done it sooner, but we didn't want to put more stress on him [with the whole pre-school thing! For those that don't know, that's a whole different blog]! We couldn't be more proud of him! Really couldn't believe how well he did right away! He [knock on wood] does great through the night too! Down to one kid in diapers, we've only been changing diapers for nearly the last SIX YEARS! Wow! Do the math on that diaper bill!

Justin is now a walker! He had been taking steps here and there for a while! I thought for sure he'd be walking before his first birthday, but he had plans of his own ... don't they always! One day while Justin and I were visiting over at Shisha's he just got up and started walking around her living room!

Here's our big boy!

We've been wanting, or should I say, I've been wanting to take a snow trip for for-ev-er! Ray thought he hated the snow [from a snow trip as a KID! Yes, a VERY-VERY long time ago]! I knew he'd love it once we got there though. I wouldn't call us outdoorsey people, but we definitely love the outdoors ... if that makes sense! We decided to head up to Yosemite, beautiful choice, I must say! Rays' Mom and my parents, sister, and cousin all came along! We could not have picked a more beautiful day to go [can't wait to go back, probably next month]! I hadn't been to the snow in over 10 years! I'm not usually one for tons of scenery pictures, but it was so beautiful I could hardly help myself! Allie and Damon had an absolute blast while we were there! I think Damon enjoyed himself the most, he just loved it! Justin on the other hand was quite unsure what to think about all the fluffy white stuff! He sat like a mummy for a minute and then decided he rather be off the of ground in someones arms [I'm sure he'll have a different take on things next year]!

Here's Justin in his "mummy pose"!

Kisses always make everything better!

Up in the carrier ya go ... happy as a clam!

I see ya, Mommy! He's such a nut!

Love this one!

Resting, well kinda ... he was really stuck, lOl!

One of my very fav's

And, for the sake of picture overload I made a collage with a few more ...
